We are friendly group who are happy to do small shows alone, or to join with other Viking and Saxon groups to put on larger shows. Miklagard Ulflag Nomads of Bathonea We are the Nomads of Bathonea, our reenactment group portray kinsman from the city of Bathonea which is located in modern day Turkey. Bathonea was a major city which was located 20km west of Istanbul on the shore of the sea of Marmara. We are proud of or immersive display and this has been recognised by our society, we have won awards for authenticity and engagement. We are a widely scattered group of friends who come together at private weekends, public shows, film shoots and promotions all across the UK with a burgeoning US membership. You have to be eighteen to join in your own right, but kids can join as proper members when their parents do. And we really welcome families, having loads of them already! SÆXIA As a group we aim to research and depict 3 main periods of West Saxon history: Late Roman/early migration foederati warband, mid period/Anglo Dane wars, and then late North Sea Empire/Canute up to Hastings. We are based on the Isle of Purbeck, South Dorset. SÆXIA Shiltron of Fortriu The Shiltron Of Fortriu are a (Staffordshire based) Pictish dark age reenactment, representing the 9th to 11 Century. We are unique in being the first group to bring back the distinctive large Pictish H shield to the battlefield after a thousand years.
